Syeen Yadullah Hill, 44 of Lititz, has been charged with the following on the following according to his latest court docket:

  • Felony Criminal Attempt - Criminal Homicide.

  • Felony Aggravated Assault - Attempts to cause Serious Bodily Injury or causes injury with extreme indifference.

  • Misdemeanor Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

  • Misdemeanor Possession of an Instrument of Crime with Intent.

  • Misdemeanor Terroristic Threats.

Hill was arrested in the 200 block of East King Street, Lancaster around 4:12 p.m. on Monday, August 5, city police detailed in an updated release.

The charges and arrest were made in connection with an unusual incident. Officers were called to Lancaster General Hospital after a man arrived "with a 7-inch laceration to his neck" around 2:09 a.m., Sunday, July 28, as detailed in the original release.

After speaking with the victim and witnesses police remain unable to determine what caused the large cut:

"they were leaving the bar and near the N. Queen St. parking garage when a friend noticed the victim’s neck bleeding. According to their accounts, no one saw what caused the injury."

The victim was still in the hospital with non-life-threatening when the police issued the first release at 8:26 a.m. on July 29.

Daily Voice reached out to the court for more details about the night of the slashing and learned the victim had bumped into Hill earlier in the evening and he became confrontational, telling the victim "You'll die tonight".

Outside the Queen Street Bistro, the victim was unknowingly followed by Hill who came up behind him with an unknown weapon in his right hand and slashed the victim at 1:48 a.m., as seen in security camera footage obtained by police and detailed in the affidavit. This was approximately 20 minutes before the victim's friends noticed he was bleeding and took him to the hospital.

Hill was later identified using a combination of the footage, witnesses, PA license photos, and Facebook photos, the police explained in the affidavit.

Hill has a lengthy criminal record in Lancaster County beginning in 1998 when he became a convicted felon on criminal conspiracy and trespassing charges, court records show. His other convictions over the years include theft, carrying a firearm without a license and related charges, receiving stolen property, harassment, and drug-related offenses.

For this slashing incident, Hill's preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Jodie E. Richardson at 7 a.m. on Aug. 6, as detailed in his latest docket. He's been held in the Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $200,000 in bail. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Andrew T. LeFever at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 20.
